What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant provides administrative assistance to clients. But instead of working full-time for one person, I work "virtually" from my home office, providing these same types of services to a range of clients.  I work as an independent (1099) contractor. 

How Does a Virtual Assistant Benefit Me?

I can eliminate time spent hiring and managing another employee, increase your productivity and elevate your professional image.  Because I work on an as-needed basis, I can save you money.  You only pay for the time actually spent on your tasks.  There are no overhead costs to you... no benefits, equipment, supplies, taxes, training, perks, etc.

How Will We Work Together?

Thanks to the internet, working virtually has never been easier.  I utilize Skype, Zoom, phone, and email to communicate and discuss projects.  I understand that local clients may want an in-person meeting.  Meetings can be arranged but will be charged depending on the time commitment.   

How Much Does it Cost?  Is It Cost-Effective to Outsource to You?

Because I work on an "as-needed" basis, I can save you money.  You only pay for work actually done.  All work is tracked to the minute using computer-based, time tracking software. 

 

I have a simple, wonderful, easy approach to pricing:

  1. $40.00 an hour for my services, available in 10-hour chunks.

  2. $45.00 an hour for my services, available in 5-hour chunks.

  3. $50.00 for hours booked individually.

If you are a nonprofit, please ask for those rates.

 

​In all cases, I offer these as a “Heath Business Solutions Debit Card.” You buy the quantity you want upfront and use it at whatever pace and for whatever services (or combination) you like. Each “chunk” is good for a year.

Who Will be Doing My Work?

All of your work will be done by me.  I have over 40 years of experience and expertise as an administrative professional and bookkeeper.  If there is something you need that I've not done before, I will figure it out!  If you have a task I do not feel comfortable with, I will discuss the situation with you and find someone who can handle it for you.  I will be the liaison so you don't have to deal with it.  I have a satisfaction guarantee that assures you are happy with my work or I will work tirelessly to make it right.  But I will do everything in my power to complete your work to your satisfaction the first time. 

How Will I Know That My Business and Customer Information is Safe?

Confidentiality is an important part of my business.  I take all security and privacy issues very seriously.

What If I Have a Rush or Emergency Job?

I can potentially take on a rush job depending on capacity or workload at the time.  My availability is sometimes limited, especially on weekends and holidays.  Please contact me to discuss your project and timeline.  I will make every effort to complete it within your timeframe.
